Starring a psychotronic cast including Hervé Villechaize, Viva, and Joe Spinell, director Richard Elfman fashioned this musical comedy around The Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo, an absurdist theater troupe. Originally shot in black and white, the cartoonish chaos revolves around the “Hercules Family” whose basement acts as a portal to the Sixth Dimension. Danny Elfman composed the music and has a bit part as Satan (who sings Minnie the Moocher.)

Emmy and BAFTA award-winning composer Bear McCreary began his career as a protégé of legendary film composer Elmer Bernstein before scoring the influential series Battlestar Galactica in 2004.
