Every new show needs an Origin Story. This one starts in March of 1974, when Fearless Leader Joe Dante and I met in Roger Corman’s editing rooms. Two film Fanatics quite naturally started talking movies, and we still are today. Movies, movies, movies, from 16mm projected on bedsheets, to our own in Theaters, to Trailers From Hell, to The Movies That Made Me, to The Last Reel, which is an outgrowth of my TFH getting more and more elaborate.Trailers From France, Trailers from Fiji.
The TFH gang gave me room to grow. So, I have gone back to my beginnings. The Editing Room. The movieola is gone, and I’m all digital for 2025. A Video Columnist whose beat is Film Culture, Film History, Film Factoids, and Legends. Music too.

Bravo Allan!! Very well done! It brought back memories of when I worked at the Los Feliz theater in the early seventies, taking tickets, selling popcorn and changing the markee!!
