Music and Stories – Hydrogen Jukebox

“Something is happening here and you don’t know what it is, do you Mr. Jones?” The first half of a two-parter: Chapter 5 of Music & Stories – “Hydrogen Jukebox.” The title is from an Allen Ginsberg poem. Part 2 next week is “Going Electric.” Hence the line from “Ballad of a Thin Man.”

Chapter 5 covers 11th Grade and how my world was rapidly expanding, with so many new ideas and new friends. The Electric Blues, The Beats, Foreign Films and always Dylan, made my adolescent life come alive. It’s starting to get really intense – it’s 1965!!! The 60’s are in full swing.
