The Last Reel: Drama, Drama, DRAMA
Nighttime dramas are the backbone of series TV. Whether they are streamed, binged, cabled or in a box set, they are our default mode when viewed from the couch.
This Last Reel takes us from TV’s live “Golden Age” to Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Fugitive, Naked City and features Route 66. My theory is that the shows of the early ’60s inspired the “Second Golden Age of TV.” Starting in the mid-’80s, the Boomers were in charge, and their early inspirations led to “Must See TV,” HBO, and so much more.

I don’t know whether the problem lies at my end, but there doesn’t seem to be a link to the actual video.
Thanks for the fix & all the “Route 66” clips! I’ve been curious about that series since I read about it in “The Catalogue Of Cool” way back when. Nice editing, too (all those Corman years finally paying off 😉 ).
