Member Accounts, Comments and Forms

Member accounts. When you create an account we collect your username, email address and password (stored only in encrypted, hashed form), and the display name you choose. We record the IP address and time of sign-up to prevent spam and abuse.

Comments, ratings and flags. Comments you post are public, with your display name and the date. With each comment we also store your IP address and browser type, which are not shown publicly and are used to fight spam and abuse. Ratings are linked to your account and shown publicly only as totals. When you flag a comment, our moderators can see who flagged it and why. Moderators may add notes to an account when they review or suspend it.

Forms. When you use our contact, copyright notice or counter-notice forms, we keep what you enter, with your IP address and browser type. As the law contemplates, a copyright notice may be shared with the person who posted the material concerned, and a counter-notice with the person who sent the original notice, including the contact details in them.

Newsletter. When you sign up for our newsletter we keep your name, email address, and the favorite movie and genre you give us (both optional), with the date and where on the site you signed up. You are added only after you click the link in the confirmation email we send; sign-ups that are never confirmed are deleted after 30 days. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link. We do not sell or share the list, except with the email service that sends the newsletter for us.

Cookies we set. Signing in sets cookies that keep you signed in. These are necessary for accounts to work and are removed when you sign out or they expire.

Visit counts. We count visits to our pages with our own simple counter, which records the page, the site that sent you, and the kind of device. It sets no cookies, does not store your IP address, and is not shared with anyone.

Deleting your account. You can ask us to delete your account through our contact page. When an account is deleted, its comments stay on the site with the name removed.

5. Children’s Privacy

Our Sites are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If we discover that a child has submitted information without parental consent, we will delete it promptly. Parents may contact us at info@trailersfromhell.com.

  • Email Opt-Out: You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message.
  • Access and Correction: You may request access to or correction of your data by contacting us.
  • Data Deletion: You may request that we delete your data, subject to retention limits required by law.
  • Do Not Track: Our Sites currently do not respond to DNT signals.

8. International Users

If you access our Sites outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries with different privacy laws. By using our Sites, you consent to such transfers.
