Ib Melchior

Danish-born writer-director Ib Melchior was the writer of some 12 feature films, many of them science-fiction, to his credit. On the tv side he directed over 500 shows and was the creator of Space Family Robinson, the progenitor of Lost in Space, as well as contributing scripts to such programs as Men Into Space and The Outer Limits. He authored several acclaimed novels, many of them based on his exploits as Counter Intelligence Corps agent in WW II. He died in 2015 at the age of 97.
