Joe Dante Buries the Ex at The Egyptian… and more!
Joe Dante’s new film, Burying the Ex, hits theaters and VOD on June 19th and the blackly comic “zom-com” had its advance premiere at the Egyptian theater in Hollywood on Thursday, June 11th.
Joe began the evening dedicating the screening to his friend (and Gremlins 2 star), Sir Christopher Lee who passed away the previous Sunday.
The movie played to an enthusiastic crowd who were treated to a post-screening Q&A with Joe, stars Anton Yelchin and Alexandra Daddario and screenwriter Alan Trezza sharing their thoughts on the making of the movie.
Their camaraderie was obvious to the audience and they made sure to offer their appreciation to the film’s composer Joseph LoDuca (also in the audience) for his terrific score.
This week has seen a plethora of entertaining and informative interviews with Joe and his cast and crew and we’ll be sharing them with you as they become available.
First up is an interview with Joe and Anton at CraveOnline.
Here’s Joe and Anton in a particularly informative chat with Drew McWeeney at HitFIx.
