Fillmore East
50 years ago, the Fillmore East opened. I was there the day it opened as a customer and many times after that – watching artists like Big Brother, Jefferson Airplane, The Doors, Hendrix, Sly, Traffic, The Who and so many more. Four months into the Fillmore East’s existence, I got a job as an usher, then on the stage crew, and finally in the light show. It was three memorable years of my life. For the anniversary event, I made this video monologue as a way to tell a little of that story and jog some memories out of those who were there. The place changed my life.
